Highland Wildfire Update

As we continue to closely monitor the Highland Fire near Lost Valley, we would like to provide an important update regarding access to our camp. In response to the current situation, camp access is now limited to the southern route. With the current closure on 79 between Temecula & Aguanga the best route to Lost Valley is:
Take Pala Temecula Rd to CA-76 E in Pala
Follow CA-76 E and CA-79 N
Continue on Chihuahua Valley Rd as usual
While the Highland Fire has not posed an immediate threat to our camp, this adjustment to the southern route ensures the safest possible journey for those traveling to the camp.
We want to emphasize that, despite this change, the camp remains safe and open for our weekend program as we continue to prioritize the well-being of our campers and staff. We appreciate the understanding and flexibility of our camp community as we adapt to these evolving conditions.

A wildfire, known as the Highland Fire, has been reported in the vicinity of Schoepe Scout Reservation at Lost Valley. We would like to reassure all concerned parties that at this time, the fire does not pose any immediate danger to our camp staff or visitors. Our dedicated team has been closely monitoring the situation, and safety remains our utmost priority.
While the Highland Fire has not presented a direct threat to our camp, it is important to note that it may affect the preferred route to the camp. For further updates on the Highland Fire and its impact on the camp, please visit our website ssrlv.org or contact our camp office at 714-923-3191.
