At this time, we are releasing our proposed Merit Badges and pre-requisites for the Summer Camp 2021. As we learn more on if and when we will receive guidance we will update you all with program materials, schedules and links.

We are so excited for the return of summer programs to Schoepe Scout Reservation at Lost Valley. While we still await guidance for organized overnight camps from the state, we are continuing our preparation to deliver your youth a mountaintop experience. In that regard here are some important updates to share with your unit.
Earlier this week, the individual deposit window opened and continues through April 14. Please update your registration with youth and adult attendees and make the $100 youth deposits. You will need to update and confirm your numbers before making payment. After confirming numbers, proceed to checkout and choose “Pay ______ minimum amount due” should be $100.00 * # of Scouts. If you signed up before January 31st, you will receive the Early Bird discount. It will show as an individual credit per Scout. If you have added Scouts after January 31st, please reach out to Nicki Varela (Nicola.firstname.lastname@example.org). You can always add more as we get closer to camp. These updates help us to project supply needs and negotiate the best rates with our vendors keeping your camp fees lower.
Based on what we know from the state’s Day Camp Guidance and what we expect will come soon for organized overnight camps, this summer’s adventure will most likely be cohort based. Scouts will visit program areas as a cohort much like Cub Scout Day Camp. They will have the opportunity for adventure based programs as well as earning merit badges. This summer will be different in many ways, but the spirit of Scouting, adventure and fun will still be there for your Scouts!
In order to provide up to date information as it is released and finalized we will be hosting monthly Down the Hill Leaders’ Meetings starting in March and continuing through June. We strongly encourage each unit to attend one of our Zoom sessions on March 21 or March 25. Please click the dates to register for your session as space is limited by the Zoom account. We will also post these to Facebook for those that can’t attend, so they are limited to adults only. Both sessions each month will cover the same topics, just two different times for convenience. We will do our best to keep each session to one hour. Monthly sessions will include topics like Advancement Programs, Adventure Programs, Cohort Camping, Food Service, Health & Safety, Check-In, COVID Refund Policy, and many more. We have created a survey for you and your Troop to submit questions to that we will address in a Leaders' Meeting, FAQ and/or through email. Please submit those questions here.
As we navigate these challenging times we ask for your patience as we are certain today’s plans will evolve as we get closer to the summer. You may find that there are questions for which we simply don’t yet have an answer. We will make note of them and Do Our Best to get you an answer at some point in the future.
