Join Lost Valley's Team in 2024

Each year, Schoepe Scout Reservation at Lost Valley hires approximately sixty men and women to serve as seasonal employees during Summer Camp Operations.  Summer Camp Staff Members serve in all manner of roles, ranging from Merit Badge counselors, Troop Guides, high adventure staff, rangemasters, kitchen staff, and managers to Emergency Medical Technicians.  

Spending a summer at Lost Valley will afford you the opportunity to:

Summer Camp Staff Positions 

 

If you're available to work all or most of our 2024 summer season, ready to work in a challenging but fun and rewarding environment and live with a value-centered community of like-minded individuals, then you're ready to apply for our 2024 Summer Camp Operations Staff!

 

Lost Valley’s summer camp staff members are at least 16 years of age, some areas require older staff.  There is also a Counselor in Training (C.I.T.) position for youth who are 14 to 17 years old.  All staff are housed in cabins with heat, electricity, bunk beds, and shared drawers/storage lockers.  Staff are fed three meals per day in our dining halls.
 
Some Program Areas require staff to be over 18 and most Area Directors must be over 18 or over 21. Schoepe Scout Reservation is flexible in working around school, work, Scouting, and other personal commitments.  All staff will receive Scout camp and program area specific training during Staff Week.  Many Area Directors will also receive BSA specific training at a separate BSA National Camp School training.
