Work with youth and adults of all ages
Serve others (the noblest and fulfilling pursuit of all).
Give something back for the opportunities you have received.
Live in a wholesome environment based on the Scout Oath and Law.
Have the advice, counsel, and support of senior staff who are dedicated to helping you succeed.

Camp jobs offer invaluable skill-building, leadership, training, and enrichment opportunities found nowhere else. The benefits go far beyond a paycheck, too. Lost Valley’s summer camp staff members are at least 16 years of age, some areas require older staff. There is also a Counselor in Training (C.I.T.) position for youth who are 14 and 15 years old. All staff are housed in cabins with heat, electricity, bunk beds, and shared drawers/storage lockers. Staff are fed three meals per day in our dining halls.
Some Program Areas require staff to be over 18 and most Area Directors must be over 18 or over 21. Schoepe Scout Reservation is flexible in working around school, work, Scouting, and other personal commitments. All staff will receive Scout camp and program area specific training during Staff Week. Many Area Directors will also receive BSA specific training at a separate BSA National Camp School training.
The 2018 Summer Camp season will last from June 17th to August 4th; Area Directors, management, and other staff may have an earlier report date. There may be positions available before and after these dates. More information will be made available once you are hired. Preference is given to those who are available the entire summer. Please include any known date conflicts with your application. All dates are subject to change.
Counselor in Training (C.I.T.) Volunteer position with food and housing provided
If you will be fourteen or fifteen (14-15) by summer 2022, you are a perfect candidate for the Counselor in Training position. Counselor in Training positions requires a three-week minimum commitment. The first week is Staff Week, where the CIT's will learn basic camp operations, bond with other camp staff members, learn different program areas, songs, and help prepare summer camp for campers. CIT's will need to schedule two additional weeks at camp. During the first week, CIT's will have rotating assignments to several program areas; this will give them a wide range of program area knowledge. During the second week, CIT's select the program area they want to staff. Schoepe Scout Reservation is flexible in working around school, work, Scouting, and other personal commitments.
