Fridays
Fridays at Lost Valley are different than the other days of program.
Friday morning: is "Make Up Morning" where Scouts can finish up any remaining requirements they need to complete their Merit Badges or Rank Advancements.
Friday afternoon features games and competition for troops and patrols, including:
- The Lost Valley Triathlon (1:30 p.m.) – with swimming, biking, and a run around camp. Scouts can compete as a team, or go solo on the “Ironman” challenge.
- Aquacade (3:00 p.m.) – held at both pools, the Aquacade features fun and competition for all levels of swimmers. Troops or patrols are welcome to participate. Which Troop will have the best Scoutmaster belly flop?
- Tri-Range Tournament (2:30 p.m.) – using all three shooting ranges. One Adult Leader per Unit will compete against other leaders to see who is truly the best shot.
Friday evening starts with a special flag ceremony by Lost Valley’s own Wranglers on horseback. Make sure to dress up in your Western best. A special BBQ Cowboy Dinner follows.
After dinner, we kick it into high gear with our Western Carnival at the Stables, offering a variety of unique activities and competitions. The Mobile Trading Post will provide a selection of refreshments.
