CPR Requirements for Aquatics Merit Badges: Scouts must demonstrate knowledge of CPR for Swimming and Lifesaving Merit Badges. This can be done one of three ways:
- Bring a current, valid CPR card (or photocopy of the card) from either the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
-
Demonstrate CPR at the First Aid area (Tom Tabb Center) during afternoon open program from 4:15 to 5:00 PM M, T, Th. This is just a demonstration, the Scouts will not be certified in either American Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR.
-
Bring a signed note from a Scoutmaster verifying the Scout's knowledge of CPR. Having the First Aid Merit Badge will suffice for CPR knowledge.

Lake Virginia will be opened for the summer 2010 season. Due to drought conditions, it is possible Lake Virginia may be closed at any point, depending on water level. Please check back here before you attend camp for the latest information regarding lake availability. We apologize for inconveniences lake closures may cause. Lost Valley recently added 1.3 million gallons of capacity to Lake Virginia to better prevent low water levels. Lake Virginia offers Rowing and Canoeing Merit Badges, Open Boating, and Paddle Craft Safety for Unit trips afloat.
