Adolf Schoepe Adolf Schoepe (1904-2001) was a strong supporter of Scouting in Orange County for more than 45 years. He was a longtime member of the council executive board, and served as President of the old Northern Orange County Council in 1962. He was also a major contributor to many council financial campaigns over the years. Mr. Schoepe was also an early Orange County industrialist. He brought Kwikset Locks to Anaheim in the 1940s, and in 1958 he founded Fluidmaster, now headquartered in San Juan Capistrano. Mr. Schoepe never sought the limelight for himself, but in 2004, three years after his death, the council executive board voted to rename Lost Valley Scout Reservation as Schoepe Scout Reservation at Lost Valley, to honor his many contributions to the Scouting movement. |
