Boy Scout Troops, Varsity Teams, or Venturing Crews can take advantage of many of Schoepe Scout Reservation's programs year round. Schoepe Scout Reservation is also available for your Unit, Church, or Corporate event. In addition to the special Merit Badge weekends, your group can use the archery, rifle, or shotgun ranges, go rock climbing, use the COPE course, canoe in the lake, or use the observatory to gaze at the stars. The Campmaster Corp will help staff the programs of your choice. Dates, prices, and availability vary so make plans early.

Open Camping
Boy Scout Troops, Teams, and Crews are encouraged to take advantage of open camping at Lost Valley. Tent camping or cabins are available, along with food service for groups of 50 or more. Programs such as archery, rifle shooting, nature hikes, and service projects can be provided.
Camping: Scout unit’s camp use fee is $12.00 per person. This covers use of camp and access to restrooms and water. (Both are nearby if not in campsite). Campsite amenities include picnic table, kybo (pit toilet), water faucet, and flag pole. Fires are not permitted because of high fire danger.
Building Use: All building deposits are due at camp. All Building Fees are in addition to your camping and program fees.

Log Cabins: $100.00 for 2 nights (includes heat and electrical); Eight (8) Bunks.

$30.00 per cabin cleaning deposit. (Cabin fee is in addition to camp use fee.)

Beckman Hall Conference Facilities: $175 + $300 cleaning deposit.
Program Fees
- Archery Range: $2.00 per person + $5.00 for lost arrows.
- Rifle Range: $2.00 per person + $1.00/10 shots. (Ammunition charges paid at camp).
- Shotgun Range: $2.00 per person + $2.00/5 shots. (Ammunition charges paid at camp).
- Low COPE: $10.00 per participant. Minimum of 10, maximum of 20. Team building games, leadership, problem solving.
- Cost: $25.00 per participant. Includes Low COPE fee. Minimum COPE fee is $150.00 Minimum of 6, maximum of 16. Minimum age: 14.
Note: All participants 18 and under MUST have a properly signed and filled out activity permission and release form with the adult leader in charge. COPE is NOT a Cub Scout program. Participation is permitted at COPE Director’s discretion and is based on safety. The Director’s decision is final. - Rock Climbing/Rappelling: $25.00 per person Minimum charge - $150.00. At the Rock Wall in Beckman Hall.
- Observatory: $25.00 flat rate
- Conservation/Service Projects: No charge. Note: We will waive the camping fee for each participant of a service project when the entire group completes a minimum of a 4 hour project that is approved by the camp’s Property Manager. No program, cabin (bunk) or food fees will be waived for completion of the service project.
- Food Service (4 Meals): $30.00 per person (must be pre-arranged)

Holiday Family Camp
Bring your Troop, Team, Crew, or family to Memorial Day weekend family camp. All program areas are open. Enjoy horse rides, shooting sports, nature programs, the pools, volleyball, horse shoes, mountain bikes, special activities for young campers and adults, and don’t forget the Big Tex Hay Ride. There is a movie night Saturday evening and an entertaining campfire Sunday evening.

Merit Badge Weekends
Come as a troop, patrol, or individual and join us for a fun-filled, rewarding weekend program. Scouts will be housed in cabins, have great food in Beckman dining hall, and a great program. The fees include: camping fee, cabin use, and food. These fliers are in PDF file format.

Venturing Programs
Venture Crews have a variety of opportunites at Lost Valley. They can partake in open camping and Holiday family camp weekends. There is a long-term Venturing Summer Camp during July. For 2010, Lost Valley is offering three specialized Venturing specific activities.

Venturing Summer Camp (.doc)- July 5-10, 2010
Come as a Crew or individual Venturer and join us for a fun-filled week of Venturing summer camp! Venturers may sign up for a number of programs to complete Venturing Core or Elective requirements or participate in our “Taste of Camp” Program and visit many program areas. In addition, Venturers may enjoy many other activities in their free time, including swimming, horse rides, snorkeling, hiking, caving, boating, biking and much, much more. Venturing Camp Fees:
Orange County Council units: Venturers- $275 All adults - $135
Out of council units: Venturers- $285 All adults - $145
Each Crew must have a minimum of two adult leaders to come to camp. There are no partial week rates; but, adults may split the week. There is a 1:8 adult to Venturer ratio required. For Crews with more than 36 Venturers attending, contact the council for special pricing for additional leaders over 5.

- Come as a Crew or individual Venturer and join us for a fun-filled, rewarding weekend program. Venturers sign up for any one shooting sports discipline and complete the requirements for the Shooting Sports Elective. There will be rifle, shotgun, archery, and for the first time the pistol option. Only opened to Orange County Council Venturers and Venture Crews.
